We would always suggest following these guidelines when fitting Quarry tiles

We recommend mixing tiles from different boxes before fixing.

Tiles should be fitted in the extrusion direction, which is indicated by the grooves on the reverse of the tiles, with all tiles fitted in the same direction.

A minimum 5mm grout spacing is required. Although unglazed, these quarry tiles do not need sealing.
